I found my camera. It was right on the desk, hiding under a pile of fake sunflowers slated for fabric collage.
This isn’t a huge victory. I will probably spend half my day searching for something else I’ve misplaced.
I was making dinner yesterday evening and noticed that the wine & beer bottles sitting on the counter were having a groovy light, love and happiness party on the wall.

The green bottle was Red Zeppelin. I don’t remember drinking any of that, so I can’t tell you how it was. I probably didn’t drink any of it. Wine…meh. Probably from being raised in the heart of Finger Lakes Wine Country, I’ve become indifferent to it instead of being a connoisseur.
The brown beer bottle I can vouch for. Southern Tier Brewery’s Raspberry Wheat. Nice because instead of that annoying “ew, I’m drinking fermented fruit” flavor you get with a lot of fruity beers, this has a genuine raspberry flavor…..but it’s a subtle hint without being overpowering . That brewery also makes a good IPA but I really want to try their porter & the porter raspberry. I like pale ales but usually I like my beer like I like my humor – dark, quirky & full of substance (ha…you all thought I was gonna say “…like I like my men…”). I LOVE Arrogant Bastard Ale ,which no one seems to like because it’s a REALLY dark and “aggressive” beer. My favorite is still Dixie Lager’s Blackened Voodoo …but I don’t know if I’m imagining things but the flavor now doesn’t seem to be what it was pre-Katrina days. I wonder if it’s all in my head.
Great. I just made myself sound like the biggest lush ever. I’m really not a lush. I can only count a handful of times I’ve been actually fully intoxicated. The methodical and rigid German comes out in me when it comes to my drinking habits. I tuck the kids into bed, pop a movie in and have a beer. Just one, usually. See, my lushy-ness level is terribly unexciting.
We’ll just not discuss how I think everything under the sun should have rum in it.

Yesterday morning’s Gluestick Therapy….

You people notice the strangest things in photos, like the things laying on my desk around the collage.
Email yesterday: “What’s up with the guitar picks with beads?”
Well, it’s an earring of course, like these. You can make your own,easy-peasy and obviously, they’re cooler if the picks have actually been used and not just bought for the purpose of making jewelry. Somewhere around here,I have Mudhoney guitar pick earrings….
I should go look for them.
